The waterproof protection of quartz watches needs to do the following:
Water resistance rating: The water resistance rating of a quartz watch is usually indicated by ATM (atmospheric pressure) or M (meter). The higher the water resistance level, the better the protection performance of the watch under water. Generally, the waterproof level of quartz watches is 30M, 50M, 100M, etc., and high-level watches can be waterproof to 200M or deeper.
Sealing: Watches need to have good sealing, which can be achieved through rubber seals, stainless steel covers and threads, etc. The better the seal, the better the watch's protection against water.
Material: The material of the watch also plays an important role in the water protection. Stainless steel and titanium alloys are commonly used waterproof materials because of their good corrosion resistance and wear resistance.
Maintenance: To maintain the water resistance of a quartz watch, regular maintenance is required. This includes replacing rubber seals, cleaning watch cases and straps, checking threads and seals, and more. If a watch is no longer water-resistant, it needs to be repaired or parts replaced as soon as possible.
